If you just want a shared hosting plan, i would tell you to with
servage.net.
5000GB transfer a month, 510gb harddisk, control panel and autoinstallers etc included for 6,35-7,50€a month (about 10$ a month) + a free domain.
I have used them for a year until my site was to big/heavy to be supported there.
Jaguarpc has decent services that include full support;
i have one of their VPS services now, costs me 20$ a month; they often do promo deals with 20% discount for life and 50% more resources. They also offer resellers and dedicated servers.
The general advice i can give is to go for a big company, since a small one will screw you anyhow, if not by letting you pay more then by not giving 24/7 support or just them going bankrupt.
