And SU has a great deal of spam on it, it just doesn't matter. It has to be popular to take off to gain any real traffic, that will convert. Spamming a bunch of trash on SU isn't going to make you a dime. Unlike spamming a bunch of profiles, links, ect on myspace or even youtube - which can have instant or long term results if you get lucky.
If you submit a bunch of a good articles, lots of sites, and actually contribute solid material - even if it's all on your own domain networks, you will benefit from it. And any info like that is worth being on the network.
People do report spam on SU too, I have seen it one day and gone the next. So setting up profiles and voting through your own shit, doesn't take long to spotted as a spammer. And each profile would have to contribute, vote, and be active to gain traffic too. And with the overall amount of people voting things up, down, reporting spam, ect.. the network cleans out really fast.
I report spam every time I find it - I suggest everyone else do the same.

well, that is fine and all, I still stand by my original statement, if there is a way to ruin it, porn guys will
too many other sites like it have been ruined because of people posting shit on gfy or running to every forum to tell everyone about "this new great site to post your porn too". there are a few that come to the top of my mind right away that used to allow porn and now have blocks on any and all adult terms DIRECTLY due to people spreading the word on porn forums
I have been enjoying the benefits of su for quite a while now, luckily there are new and innovative ways beyond su that do the same thing, but better
