fuel theft is definitely on the rise in rural areas, but it's different,. people are jacking fuel from sliptanks, farmer's private fuel tanks, and the big one around here, theft from the oilfield. there's a lot of big diesel trucks around here, and there's loads of "free" diesel if you know where to go get it, same goes for gasoline.
