I lost the tip of my right index finger also. It was when I was young. I was spinning the back wheel of my bicycle. You know when you turn your bick upside down and pretend to make ice cream....... well I was spinning the fucker really fast and my finger got caught in between the chain and the sprocket !
It got chopped off to the bone ! This was like 20 years ago and it grew back with a regular nail but is more pointed than the index finger on my left hand.
