I'm sure a lot of the new sites that contain this and equally sure a lot do not. I see sites that are obviously thrown together with a custom shooter and suspect the shooter, model and budget did not lend itself to creating anything special.
So what has this to do with ismokeblunts post? It might be the surfer is going to a Tube site, seeing what the site offers and moving on. I've seen a few solo girl sites samplers and decided it's not that great.
This is my of what a solo girl site has to have.
The sponsor's excuse for the low offer was solo girl sites don't convert that well. Like blaming a Skoda for not performing like a Porsche.
A girl with a real personality that relates to the surfers needs in the niche she fits.
She has to be prepared to give everything to a scene and do it for real.
A shooter with the skills, budget and time to bring her personality out and develop it.
Both of them working at a pace that they can both give of their best.
Shooting 40 scenes in in 6-8 days with a budget of $500 or less a scene is not going to get you a lot of the above. We were recently asked to shoot 40 scenes, mostly solo with a few lesbian scenes. for a budget of $20,000. Every scene in a different location. This was a big sponsor. Told him to go get someone else. Later heard even the girl turned it down. So they found another girl.

I've been inside a lot of members areas now, and while I agree that most sologirl sites don't have a whole lot to offer, there are still alot who do, and when I say I have top positions on some some girl domains. i mean top positions on some long time popular sologirls, who have good members areas and great content. I don't think this is quite the saturation / quality issue you make it out to be on these sites. I think it's more of a surfer clicks one spot away on google and can watch 30 full length videos from the members area at no cost type of issue.
It's simply that this type of tube/forum site has the ability to take top positions on terms like model names. Go ahead and type in any pornstar or sologirl model's name. First page of google is more than likely going to feature youporn, redtube, pornbb, or any other number of tubes and rapidshare forum combos. And it does directly affect the sales of every other site listed on that page, no doubt about it. I've watched it happen several times now.
It makes me seriously consider just not promoting sologirl stuff any more, which is a shame because I enjoy the niche. This niche is just especially hard hit by the tube epidemic by it's power over the search engines..

I'm gonna take a stab and saying the 1:600-1:700 area overall. a quick look at my stats shows one girl I recently managed to get rid of a youporn position on google for, beating 1:350 right now, which I don't see being that bad considering the niche. the traffic is virtually 100% google on that site. It's making a sale ever day or two right now. Which considering I went for a 3 month stretch with zero sales when that youporn video was sitting just ahead of me in the serps, and likely lost me a few hundred dollars in sales, isn't too bad.
Even when you can get your sponsor to manage to throw out a DMCA it' still takes a long fucking time for most of these shithead tubes and so on to get aroudn to removing the content.
