Sounds reasonable considering his circumstances. BUT he CAN afford cigarettes and beer. He buys meats and cheese from the deli and buy the higher end breads and shit isntead of going for the cheaper generic versions. He buys the "name brand" clothes instead of getting the Faded Glory clothes from wal-mart. He moved last year and got place 5 miles from town and he drives a SUV. Real smart move for someone who is always broke.

So in reality he COULD afford insurance he chooses to spend his money on other things and I'm supposed to pick up the difference? He's not the only one I see tons of people in my town that get food stamps and magically have money for cigareetes and beer. If you stop smoking and drinking you'd have enough for food.

In my state you HAVE to have car insurance. So how is this different? Anyways medical saving accounts should count toward insurance and be tax deductable.

I don't if the government takes care of things like childhood immunizations or subsidzing flu shots since these things pay off.
You are right.

Fuck thy neighbor, or try to control their entire lives.
