Namecheap has no control over the .co.uk registry. They can't block your info.

OK maybe I didn't put my question in the correct terms but WTF? Is all my details public? I don't care too much about my real name as it's not exactly unique but my address and phone number too? Why sell these things with domains if anyone can still use whois to get my personal details???
