I have had *very* good results with one model place, adult staffing, etc.
It all comes down to how you market your pitch. I know models who tell me they get tons of one-liners like "Heh, we want to shoot you". They just delete that.
What I do instead is in a paragraph or two say hello, tell them the website and the nature of the action, how long the shoot is, pay range, and maybe mention some references.
Naturally, I don't always hear back but I do get a decent response rate.
