Those big poms have been out since the 80s. They're small, round things that the girls just grab in their hands. They either don't have a handle or it's invisible. And skirts don't have elastic waists and stand out. They're tight and fitted. Same for the shells (tops). And they're usually cropped and show some stomach if you live somewhere warm.
The easiest thing is to go to varsity.com, request a catalog, and order stuff out of it. Or at least look at the uniform, shoe, and pom styles. I order about $30,000-$40,000 worth of uniforms from them every year and they're great. I have a rep that comes here and does it all. Their uniforms are the best made/constructed of any.
This is a pretty good example (with a heel stretch and gratuitous crotch shot as a bonus). She's the naked internet cheer chick so I don't feel bad posting her here, lol. Always red lipstick so the mouth shows up on the field or floor. I don't do the high top shoes, though.
