There is over 150 billion gallons of gasoline sold in the U.S. every year. The U.S. doesn't even consumer half of what the rest of the world does.
On top of that, do you know that they can do other stuff with oil besides make gasoline? Seriously, I can't believe you are arguing this stuff. Open a financial report from any major oil company and see where their profit margins are.
Blame your government for putting up to 50 cents worth of taxes on each gallon of gasoline while they spend it on some bullshit war in Iraq.
