People in Toronto consider themselves to be the true Canadians, but they are the least Canadian of all Canadians in Canada, since they are more recent immigrants and much less traditional than their fellow countrymen from Quebec, Winnipeg, Alberta or northern territories.

In America you got the same problem, recent immigrants in New York or internal migrants in California consider themselves to be the true Americans and the rest of the population to be "alien".
