As much as I hate to say it, and as much as I swore I wouldn't vote for another republican after the Bush fiasco...I just do not have faith in Obama. His positions on all the issues seem vague and contrived and he just doesn't seem to have the backbone needed. I really want to believe that the Democrats can come in and slow inflation, and stop the certain demise our society is headed towards with the gas price issue, but he just seems a bit flat to me.

Now McCain is no picknic either but at least I can respect that the guy is a war hero. Which, could work against him as well. Spending time in a tiger cage could give a guy an itchy trigger finger. However, he strikes me as the kind of guy who will take the fucking oil if we cannot get it any other way in order to save our civilization, and perhaps that is what we need now that Bush has put us in this position. Another issue is abortion, I find it very hard to vote for someone who is anti-choice. In the end his administration may be in the same vein as Bush with taking away freedoms and war mongering, but our very survival may be at stake here.

I mean look, it is what it is...we are in a critical situation and to stop society from falling into a dark ages of sorts we may need a guy who's not afriad to blow a mother-fucker up...who knows?

With that said...i'll have to wait and see how I feel as the issues come out a little more. I want to go Obama but i'll have to see something more.
