The big thing being over looked here is that they tried to correct this first by deleting the old thread..
Ok, so their policy didn't fly with webmasters and it pissed alot of people off.
Thats understandable, but they than decided to undermind webmasters and have the first thread deleted.
When that didn't work in the best interest of VS they paid chrome. Yet they still maintain the position of being correct in the first place.
Having the thread deleted was extremely shady of all parties involved in deleting it
