Program owners - Forget the fancypants promos, improve your webmaster support!

Ok, I know the big thing on GFY is announcing big flashy promos and encouraging threads a mile long to promote them but I am an old school webmaster -- I much prefer a program with solid content/sales and 5 star webmaster support than hearing about the latest $5000 a sale promo...

Here's a case in point - I had a couple of payment issues from 2 of the more successful porn sponsors on the 'net. I am not going to name names so that I cant be accused of sponsor-bashing a specific company, let's call them Sponsor A and Sponsor B.

Sponsor A - I've had a lot of admiration and respect for this program in the past - and have made alot of money with them too. But as of today I havent been paid since May 30th - thats almost a month and a half ago and they pay weekly I've sent various emails and finally got a reply today saying their accounting department is still processing the payment I first requested on June 14th. I also sent an icq today to one of the top reps there (who's icq status was "online") and still havent gotten a response 3 hours later.

Sponsor B - Wasnt sure if I was getting paid due to the cryptic payer/descriptions in Epassporte. I added them to my ICQ this morning and had a reply and resolved the issue within half an hour.

So the next time I have to choose which sponsor to promote Sponsor B will obviously be ahead. Sponsor A is losing out because they are lacking in webmaster support.

So to all the program owners and affiliate managers out there, please ensure you are providing timely and effective support - I think that's much more important than dreaming up the next big pormo.

And for the love of god, if you're a big company and have an icq number designated as the support line please keep it online and reply within 3 hours. There is nothing more disheartening than seeing the icq status of support as "offline" when you need some help.

Oh and while I am at it, another pet-peeve of mine is "Latest News" sections in webmaster areas that havent been updated in 6 months. You better believe i think twice about promoting a new program I just joined if its July and the last entry in the News section was February.

Ok I feel better now, I needed to vent. If anyone else has stories of good or bad webmaster support then feel free to post them.

Good sales everyone
