Plus, there is nothing to say they weren't beauties in their youth and pre-spitting out babies. Also, they have to think about the voters and for many areas if they had an overly 'hot' woman with them that could end up backfiring a bit. On top of all that you need a woman (or a man) that is going to put up with the 'smiling for the public' crap that goes along with being married to a politician.
