What's the old saying? "Ignorance is bliss." There are two quotes that come to mind that really fit this post. One was said to me by a guy that had owned and sold several businesses and he told me, "When my first business was a success a lot of it was because I was too stupid to be afraid that it might fail." I think much the same can be said for the oil situation. There are a lot of factors that go into why it is so expensive. It is not going down in price any time in the near future. It is easy to to just blame one group or one company or one leader, but there are many factors involved. For example: I think one of the main reasons we invaded Iraq was to get close to their oil. We install a US friendly government there and they sell us oil on the cheap. I think the idea is simple. The problem was they never had the foresight to see that something could go wrong with the plan and then what to do if that happened and here we are today. They were either too stupid to realize the radical Muslims would not just lie down for them or they chose to ignore that reality and just hope that it didn't happen.
