Obviously not. I just hate it when I see people tipping off others in mainstream media. It is not his responsibility that people know that there's money to be made on the Internet and it is also not his responsibility that in Uruguay more and more young geeks are turning to the Internet for profit each day. He's protecting his interests by bullhorning it in mainstream media. I'm protecting mine by saying that he shouldn't say so blatantly what we do.
Overall, I think I'm generally disgusted by the way he used the space the paper gave him and this is an excuse to vent it. Either way, the journalist noticed it and covered his ass very well by stating repeatedly, in subtle ways, that most of the numbers he was writing down were provided by Caetano, almost as if he was warning you that they could be completely made up. It was the second most-read newspaper in Uruguay, targeted mostly at business people, not some shitty college e-zine in an unknown town. The article was published last weekend.
I'm not saying that there will be a wave of invading webmasters. I'm just saying that we webmasters should worry about how secret our activity is kept to prevent even more competition. This ain't 1997 anymore.
