I personally rely on MANY more, since really profitable long term top 3 listings aren't easy to get and keep. Let's face it, getting on page 1 is easy, but getting where the real money is, is alot more challenging and you can never feel safe and sit back, there is almost always a competitor just waiting for you to become lazy.

About 20% of my blogs generate 80% of my income, half of those 20% are constantly changing. The google index and algo aren't static, so pushing just a few sites and hoping the money will keep flowing forever is risky. There are sites that dominated the serps for a huge variety of terms that barely have any good listings left half a year later.

So my recommendation to survive and prosper in this battle: Diversify, as much as you can, build several independant networks and don't stop pushing a site once you got a listing making you alot of money...it's tempting to sit back and enjoy the results of your work, but it will be gone in just a few months or even weeks if you stop adding new links.
