As a nation, the USA is really quite stupid, or maybe ignorant is a better word, since we have one of the most advanced communications systems in the world, yet it is primarily used for the commercial interests of large multinational corporations, and for the political use of what is one of the most manipulative and closed political systems in the world.
The ecological imperative (in particular, global warming, the erosion of the environment, and overpopulation), as well as the emergence or China (and eventually India), will force us to face head-on the challenges confronting us as a nation, and the entire world.
Hopefully, we will respond in a way which will lead towards positive change.
We definitely will need new leadership to do so...
