First of all, the webmasters are not our only source of traffic. We are being placed on search engines and purchasing traffic as we speak. All of those signups will come to us just as most websites out there do that use affiliate programs; however, we figure that by allowing the webmasters to push our site using a unique ID and sending their information on to the affiliates instead of our own, we are providing a VERY excellent reason for webmasters to use our site as an advertising tool. And yes, the referrals created by signing up webmasters is a large part of why we are providing this service, but it isn't the only reason. Adult webmasters need to come together in a unity to help each other out. GFY is the perfect example of a site that does this. It brings everyone together. Basically, by providing the sponsor signups directly to the webmaster instead of giving out percentages and all of that nonsense, we are trying to appeal to webmasters and assist in building their empire WITH us. The more we all help each other out even with the smallest thing like we are doing (because to be honest, this "controversial" sponsor signup system isn't really hurting us much, and we are hoping that Persian Kitty is seeing some returns on it because that means we are doing a good job), the more money we will all make in the long run. No one can do it on their own in this business as we all know...
So, in summary, we really are just trying to help others out and we're not breaking our own necks doing it. We are doing just fine so far even though we aren't seeing a dime from traffic sent by webmasters that have signed up for all of the affiilates... that money is theirs, and IMHO, if you can send 10,000 users to a site with a simple text link every day, you deserve all of the return it makes! And NOT a percentage. It is a very large experiment because it really is quite a new idea, but I don't see how it could fail, especially in the eyes of the webmasters that sign up to use it. It WILL be successful for everyone that is a part.
As far as trust factor goes, when a user comes to our site using your ID and clicks to preview or join an affiliate site, YOUR affiliate ID does appear in the URL after clicking through. Try it out. It works like a charm. It isn't something that you just have to take on blind faith. The URL alone proves that the system is real and WILL work for you if you give it a chance.
Also, to the webmasters that have signed up and the future webmasters that will hopefully sign up soon, we will be providing stats for you on what clicks you've received, etc. It isn't a part of the deal right now, but it has only to be programmed (by me! yay!) and everyone will be able to see more in-depth of how many clicks they are getting through our site.
