how about spraying PAM on the rims to repel brake dust? does that work or is it BS?
what about using an orbital polisher-vs-hand???
my main thing is getting teh exterior to be like glass again. my interior is spotless.

Well you might consider going and having it buffed out. Shouldn't be super expensive. Under 200.00. You'll never get the results you want using orbital polisher or by hand that a talented person using a buffer will get. They may even need to wet sand some of the areas first. Don't be scared of by the sanding. Ive done it to brand new cars to reduce the amount of orange peel in the paint. As long as the clear coat isn't super thin it will be fine. You might want to stop by a high end detail shop, or a really good body shop and see what they recommend.
