I am beyond catheters now. Quick recap was catheters 4 times a day (fun). Then I eventually got a super pubic catheter (this means a hole through your abdomen, below your belly button that just has a catheter inserted in it and changed periodically). Now since I had the big C and all which was contained in my bladder and never left it nor penetrated the walls I no longer even have a bladder. Yes I know way to much information for some people.
Now many doctors will not let you in on some shit but you can get liquid lidocaine mixed into your lubrication. This will relieve about 99% of all your discomfort if/when it comes down to it. PS if you ever do have to make that step, hit me up. You will want to make a back wash to flush your bladder out if you catheter often. Few people ever tell you this very important step and unless you really enjoy bladder infections it is highly recommended.
