Being as big as Google is gives big G the luxury of time. Even if someone came out with a SE that was 2X better, Google could slowly make it's own results comparable without losing too much market share in the process.
To knock down big G you will need revolutionary new search engine that is unlike anything anyone has ever seen.
I checked out this site and the results are terrible so far. I searched for an adult message board and "ilovejesus.com" was the number two result with an article about roller coasters????
I'm no fan of Google but I'm not seeing anything in Cuil that is groundbreaking. At least so far.
