i can't believe you're building an X as a race car. i am an evo ix driver, i have driven the x, and while the handling was impressive i felt the car was a pig and could use some work. i am interested to see what a full on race build could do to the X. put that bitch on a diet, add some horsepower, and stiffen up the suspension and i think it could be a hell of a track machine.
awd really is amazing, i will readily admit that there are many times when my car makes me look like a much better driver than i actually am. ;)
and get of the street tires on your m5. street tires suck. i know this because that is primarily what i race on. i am rather lazy about changing tires early in the AM when racing, and need to do alot more suspension work before i can really benifit from a good R comp like a hoosier a6 or r6. starting with a stiffer front sway bar, and far stiffer spring rates.
i actually have an SCCA time trial coming up this weekend that i am pretty excited about. this is the last event i need to get my next level of scca TT license.
