Once I went with a credit union, I never looked back.
I had been with Nat City for prolly 10-15 years. I had got tired of nickel and diming fees, plus you had to jump through hoops for this and that.
Over the course of a year, I started moving one business, then the next, then personal, and savings until all but one account (partnership) was moved to the CU. I have had 2 personal loans, jetski loan, car refinance, high limit credit card, and mortgage all approved with little grief.
Honestly, I really am very pleased with the CU on my banking needs, plus I know most of the people in my branch on a first name bases, and get loans approved in 15 minutes. Which is nice being self employed, and not having to do all that fax bullshit all the time. They keep my shit on file, and just pull it up when I ask for a new loan, or card. Easy peasey.
I closed all my other accounts, and most of my credit cards except for 1 business/nwa, plus two others I keep open only for revolving credit limit reason (Bowflex/Alienware) but rarely use.
I am happy as a clam..
