Simple because rather rich exUSSR countries don't need anything from Russia - they have everything they need already. So there is no reason for conflicts.
On the other hand, Georgia has nothing - it's a very poor country that spends
1 billion dollars on weapons in 2007 only. Do you think they are doing that because they are so peaceful?
Once again, Russia is not going to "invade" Georgia. Right now Russian army acts like a shield to protect Ossetian citizens from genocide but nothing else. You may believe or nor, but Russian army will not move on Tbilisi. They will stay on Georgian/Ossetian borders as long as it will need to get fire stopped. All firing emplacements will be suppressed.
