Constant light bulbs - Shelf life - Geeks inside

What happens to bulbs once they go past their recommended shelf life for hours used?

Example, if they say a bulb is good for 200 hours. What happens to the output of that bulb at 250 or 300 hours.

Can bulbs lose some brightness but not be visible to the naked eye? And would it be enough for the camera to pick up, even if your eyes don't?

I'm trouble shooting.

Thanks.
