And before you go crazy again, I'm not even against what Russia did. I just find it amazing that people believe that the Russian government somehow is doing this strictly for the people. That there aren't many other political factors in this invasion. If you believe it's for the people in South Ossetian, you believe we went to Iraq to "liberate" their people.

Journalists and the media in Russia is a funny monster. You can't blame every beat up or killed reporter on "the government". Journalists in Russia are whores. Russia is a violent place. Journalists end up being tools in plenty of disputes where they are paid to publish stories about people, companies etc. by those who want to discredit them, win a contract or whatever. Journalists usually get beat up and shot for being exactly what they are... not because they are idealists seeking only to report the truth.
and i am saying this as someone who has made the national news in Russia more than once with absolutely nothing said about me or my business being true on any level.
