Ill intent or not. contact the company he works for. Show them the police report, and most likely they will step up, take care of medical bills and put 10k into your pocket. No attorney, no bad press.
Other wise hint that you spoke to a friend at EX tv station and they said you should contact the company before the attorney. Kind of drops a hint you will go public. They dont need bad press.
