you did NOTHING wrong. you have a legal right to make fun of and insult someone. You do NOT havea legal right to THREATEN someone or kidnap them. The cabbie broke the law, not you.
The cabbie was in FACT kidnapping you - taking to his friends to kick the snot out of you or kill you - at that moment when the cabbie locked your door and said he was taking you to his friends you had the LEGAL right to use LEATHAL force to defend yourself.
The cabbie should have been charged with attempted kidnapping - a charge that can being 20 years in prison.
if I had been outside with the polce when it happened I would have DEMANDED that they IMMEDIATLY charge and arrest the cabbie.
