While he's gone, I ran an extension cord out to it, plugged it in and made sure it was in fact still working. No problem. Lights up right away. I unplugged it and put away the extension.
An hour later he comes around again - so I go outside and he's looking the TV over. BUT NOW ITS MISSING THE POWER CORD!
He explains that just as he was pulling on to the street, he sees someone in a black pickup truck drive up, jump out, cut the cord, leap back into the truck (with the cord) and takes off.
WTF?!
Luckily they left about an inch sticking out of the back of the TV, and the guy says he can easily splice a new power cord on, no problem.
He loads the TV, thanks me...and takes off.
What the fuck is with people these days? Sure, its a junker TV at the curb.
BUT STOPPING BY TO CUT OFF A POWER CORD?
This world just keep getting stranger by the hour.

Said power cord will be used in a murder that is high profile. You will be charged with that until the guy that took the tv can be located to verify your story.
