A sport just isn't as fun if you're out of shape....Last Judo class was January of 2008.....We did some kind of exercise where you bend over fast to touch the floor and then kick your legs back into a pushup position and then come back and stand up again....When I bent over, the sharp pain that my intestines gave me let me know that I didn't need to be in there right now...
I've been in the gym ever since......And I don't care what people say about the "technique" of Judo...When you're in a tournament, you need stamina and MUSCLE......."technique" only works if the other person isn't expecting you to put a judo move on them.....I know personally that it's damn near impossible to throw me in a sparring session and I don't care what belt you are...

You don't care what people that actually know about Judo have to say? It's about technique and using the other persons motion against them.
I know a 70 year old man who could throw you around like a bag of lollipops and there's nothing you could do to stop him. That's what 50 years of Judo does to a person.
