some advice always pick more than one. Have a backup ready, and if you go with a company. I personally like freelance workers just because you can get more of a personal touch with your design and communication, but they are flakey... and programmer too. I've gone through atleast 7-8 programmers, and have heard every excuse from people dying, computer breaking, in the hospital, and just flat out disappearing. These are people that I paid a min. of $15hr and as high as $50hr for steady work.
anyway, just have multiple backups and know they tend to flake. i pretty sure others can back me up on that statement. good luck
