Religious people are always weird. Remember that they are of the mindset that birth control is bad and God determines what happens. They probably just figure God will decide whether the baby gets germs or not.
I went to a school with a guy who was real religious. He broke his arm in high school and his parents refused to take him to a doctor because they were of the mindset that God would cure it. Was sad because he never was really able to use his arm like before and was a great basketball player before he got hurt. They also had a child die from something that was the folly of a lot of rumors in town. Some believed she had strept and they never let her take antibiotics.
