There are already a couple things going on like this...
you have smart thumbs with stxt that has a XML format for sponsors. Think smart sponsors system with hosted flv content. I'm not sure how the uptake is going, I know we at
www.nubiles.net built their first XML feed and support it. Every sponsor should get on board with this. Just contact the smart script guys for the xml details.
You also have my script,
