Im kinda in the middle of both arguements here. Just to be clear I am the mother of 2 teenagers (13 & 15)

Obviously there was an underlying mental health problem or other issues. I have to agree with the statement that a "normal" teenager would not kill themselves after a tv show. One of the effects of ADHD is an unnatural fear of storms, hurricanes ect. My son is ADHD and when he was younger had an irrational fear of tornados even though we live in an area where there are no tornados, or at least very very rarely.
As far as her parents not being proactive about her fear alot of teenagers are by nature secretive of their feelings and and they may have had no way of knowing just how fearful she was of that happening.

Its a shame a life was wasted over something so trivial and I feel for her family who I am sure are blaming themselves. I could not imagine having to deal with the grief of burying a child, especially after a suicide.
