Good thread.
Good luck on whatever you decide to do, but the thing is since your young and can afford it (ok you have the gf issue) and are uncomfortable with your current situation...it depends totally upon you to change that.
Once again good luck and don't sell your own plans and ambitions based on other people's "needs".
