Sober, his shit will give me a headache, but if I'm drunk/high his beat(s) and flow are crazy. That's about it. There's no substance which is why it's so boring sober.
I look at it this way: there is a list of great rappers that actually have real emotion and/or a message in their songs, and then there is the list of dime a dozen 'rappers' which lil wayne sits atop.
