Closing a dormant affiliate account of 3 yrs is nothing compared to what CC has just done to hundreds of long time affiliates. A change in the payout scale, or even a complete revamping of the CC system could be justified - but terminating hundreds of accounts out of the blue? That creates one helluva mess for a lot of webmasters.
I'm not saying I wouldn't promote them, but I actually think what they did is WAY worse than what CC is doing. Terminating accounts because they were paying out on free registrations that didn't convert to sales (affiliate payouts grossly outweighed by actual sales generated by those affiliates) is a lot more justifiable to me than than terminating and not paying out on a revshare account that DID produce at least one valuable customer and ALL they had to pay out on was a percentage of that still-active customer's purchases. I know that it was only one affiliate as far as we know and that they eventually made it right after people freaked out, but there is no way I would say one program is more trustworthy than the other in this particular face-off. I'm not defending either one of them, I'm just saying that I don't "trust" any of these sponsors to think you can retire next year on work you did for them last year.

Another thing people seem to be overlooking in this thread is that Clickcash has the longest fucking cookie life of any program I have ever heard of; kind of the opposite of trying to scam affiliates in the easiest way possible. I still think the easy money people have made off of it for so many years is kind of mind-blowing.

It would be really refreshing if both affiliates and sponsors would be more realistic and admit where they've fucked up and where they need to change.
