I think what Americans dont realize is that the generation of Brits that had bad teeth, had them because of WW2. During those times the British population had rations. Powdered milk, powdered eggs, few if any vegetables and very little meat. The only chocolate was brought over by the Yanks and feed to the young girls to get in their pants. During that time peoples teeth actually fell out. Add that to the prolific smoking habit the Brits had (80 fags a day was not unheard of ) and no wonder their teeth where bad ?
