Skimmed TGP traffic is ineffective unless you have evry good content on Your site and people who visits used to go back to Your site. And then they become returning visitors and returning visitors makes most sales.
BTW You can get tons of cheap traffic by buying expired domains with traffic, some adult drops have 300-500 UIPs/day (there are few 10k UIPs/month domains dropping each week) and are costing mostly 50-300$ depending on how many people see them and bids.
This is nice thread about buying expired domains with pagerank but is still very usefull to those who want to buy expired domains with traffic.
