We recently launched
SensiClick as PPC, mainly because it's much less of a gamble to buyers. We could've gone the ad spot route but decided against it, as we know from experience that very few sites really generate a positive ROI on timed ad spots. Naturally there are lots more factors involved than just the ad format, but our personal belief is that, all other things being equal, PPC text ads outperform button/banner spots.
