i think real estate as well as high risk loans that are backed by collateral will be great segments.
traditional credit is going to become scarce. a friend of mine owns many commercial offices. one of his best tenants is a company that loans up to 50% equity on low value homes.
example. a home that is worth $50k that is paid for (there are a lot more of these properties than you would think), this company will give up to a $25k loan at around 18-20% apr.
this company is killing it. they pay my friend his rent in cash and usually pay 2-3 months at a time, ahead of time.
whenever i go to his office, i see 4-6 people at his tenants office either making a payment or taking out a loan.
people come and go all day long.
