But if you want to get political, the Bush administration made sweeping, unprecedented changes to make this sort of thing more possible and promised us that exactly this type of thing WOULD NOT happen. In fact Bush himself stood in front of the American people on national television and said that only al queda and their affiliates would be intercepted.
Not to mention, these are only 2 people. If these low level grunts were doing it, I can only imagine what was happening higher up.

Bill Clinton came up because you said you were shocked. I was trying to point out that this sort of thing and alot more has been going on for ages. It is nothing new and really shouldn't be shocking that it goes on. Don't misunderstand me there, of course it is shocking because it is riding roughshod over freedom.
