Good tipps there but i wouldn´t also underestimate a good domain name.
On most keywords i promote my sites are well ranked on google but in 80% they are topped by the domain www.$keyword.com ( if the webmasters isn´t a total idiot), so i guess at least Google does give something about the name.
Besides that marketing is king.
