That's my first step. Then I am doing 4k digital scans on my Nikon Coolscan 5000 at 5000x4000 300dpi. That way i still have publication rez. After I approve the scans we trash the slides. There is no use for them anymore. DVD backup is made of the scans, and a jpg edit at full rez but 100dpi is made for internet sales. I make an archive copy by filling removable 1TB Hard Drives and putting them in storage.

Bottom line TRASH THE CHROMES. They are useless, and even magazines are taking all digital now. You will never need more than a 200 image edit, and it might as well be the best stuff. Remember slide DUPES lol!

Its tough to throw out your slides, I know it! But you have to. Find a cheap college kid to scan your stuff. Just make sure he color corrects first. i usually do the first scan of a set and set up the exposure profile. Then I save the profile as that set number.

I miss Andrea Spinks. She was an angel

Hope this helps.
as i said hit me up and talk to me about scanning and selling your content on slides. NO MORE SLIDES DUPES>>>lol
