I just recently started exercising again and I found that getting a personal trainer for a reasonable rate, even if it's for the first few weeks or so, makes you have to go. After a few weeks, it starts to kinda become part of your routine and you start getting motivated because you feel and look better.
Also, if you're not too familiar with exercise, heart rate, cardio, strengthening, etc, the trainer really helps because like for me, I have ZERO patience for walking/jogging on a treadmill or stairmaster for 30+ minutes. Plus I have knee and back problems. The trainer showed me many exercises away from the machines that really get your heart rate going and burn calories/fat. Lastly, the trainer helps you understand how to workout because if you're not doing things properly, it's pointless.
