The album is a step in the right direction compared to the crap they've been releasing since And Justice For All (the "black album" had it's moments but was sign of bad things to come).
Have you noticed the similarities between the song Master of Puppets and End of the Line? The structure is practically identical. The second part of the intro riff (right before the vocals) is like a hop, skipity, jump version of Master's intro riff (one of the best riffs ever) and the music in the main verses is like a dumbed down version of Master?
I do agree, I wish the vocals were a bit angrier. Guess being rich he doesn't have much to mad about anymore!
