Blog 2 is the one on second page of serps.
Blog 1 is on first page of serps.
Blog 2 has been riding on second page for awhile, and cresting onto page 1, google allready ranks a very similar site like it on the first page, so you could say, that this puts Blog 2 in the spotlight or under scrutiny.
Blog 2 is very similar to Blog 1. Blog 2 is also hosted at the same place as Blog 1. Blog 1 and Blog 2 have similar link patterns and outbounds. Blog 1 and Blog 2 seem to have links from generally the same places, content from the same places, and outbounds to the same places.
Both Blogs are most likely spam, and/or from the same network and devalued to a certain degree as if they were duplicate.
Blog 1 falls from 1st page, and Blog 2 falls from 2nd page (allthough Blog 2 pushing to page 1 most likely triggered BOTH blogs from being devalued, so in theory both blogs got pushed from the first page.)
This is just a guess, but its a pretty educated guess, I've seen it happen to myself and I even warned you specifically that you wanted to push the higher ranked one to the top, and not the lesser. Its possible that this only lasts for a few days to a few weeks while it reranks them, for now get some UNIQUE fresh content on them (relevant) and get them some real links (dont buy them unless you have to, find some good ones).
WORD TO THE WISE.
Do not try to take more then 1 spot in the top 10, unless you have solid resources, a very smart link strategy, and content to prove they both belong there. (for real rankings that last.) Its late and I might be crashed when you get this, but feel free to hit me up and I'll take a look at it if you need/want.
