This video does not show police tramping through a crowd of peaceful protestors in a park. It shows police telling people to back up off of the road on to the sidewalk.

I'm not saying this guy necessarily deserved to get hurt by a horse, but he didn't take all the reasonable steps to avoid it from happening either. So sorry, no sympathy for this kind of stupidity.
Well I guess you had to be there. The roads were closed. And yes you can gather in public and if that hurts local shops so what. They have the right to be open you have the right to be in a public area.
